Wedding Budget – 10 Things You Must Do

Wedding Budget is an important factor while planning the event. There are lots of ways you can save and have a beautiful celebration while staying on the budget.  From venue to entertainment we have collected these smart wedding budgeting tips which will help you plan your wedding day in style.

Venue:  Choose a spot that can accommodate both your ceremony and reception, you will save on rental fees, decor and transportation. Paying by the hour is also another great idea. Many local joints or public places may be available to rent on minimum fee which can easily fit in your wedding budget.

Tip: Best way to decide the venue is to create a comparison chart to track what’s included in the price for each venue. Pic Courtesy

Don’t Go Overboard on your Wedding Budget with Food & Drink Expenses

Tip: Create your own menu; take help of local joints to put together a list. Remember food is the one element which can take your wedding budget overboard. Pic Courtesy

Cakes & Desserts: Have a small cake for the cake cutting ceremony and supplement it with a sheet cake.

Drinks : If possible, buy your own booze. Instead of full bar stick to beer, wine and a signature cocktail. Don’t forget to have some inexpensive (nonalcoholic) drinks on hand. Consider fresh lemonade in tall, sugar-rimmed glasses for a warm-weather wedding or sparkling water with colorful wedges of orange, lemon or lime.

Tip: Eliminate shots or any drinks that make use of a number of liquors. Pic Courtesy

Decorations: Buy decorations which can be used twice, blooms used during the wedding can be repurposed as reception décor. Focus on flowers which are in season. Flowers mixed with greenery will save some extra cost. Bigger tables would require fewer centerpieces thus saving on the decoration cost. Place votives, pillar candles between the floral arrangements for a stylish look. You don’t have to fill every nook and corner of the venue, Less is More!
