Sagan: Usually held at Groom’s house where bride’s father blesses the groom with a tilak and officially accept him as part of the family. As for female, she’s gifted with the traditional Phulkari (Traditional Embroidered Stole) along with jewelry at her maternal house. Pic Courtesy

Sangeet  & Mehandi Ceremony:  Sangeet ceremony takes place just few days before the marriage, female members of the family sing and dance to celebrate the occasion. Mehandi is applied on hands and feet of the bride. Pic Courtesy

Punjabi Weddings -Wedding Rituals

Before the wedding, the bride is given red and white bangles to wear by her maternal uncle. This is called the Chuda ceremony.
